Structured Cabling

Great technology starts below the ceiling. Bad cabling creates problems no software can fix.

We treat cabling as craft — every run combed, dressed, labeled, tested, and certified. The kind of work you only notice because everything simply works.

The iConvergence Difference

Poor cabling is invisible until it stops working. Then everything stops working.

Unlabeled runs, mixed cable grades, and untested ports create hidden risks that surface at the worst possible time. iConvergence installs structured cabling systems that are engineered, documented, and certified so your network performs reliably today and scales for tomorrow.

Two Media, One System

Copper to the desk. Fiber for the distance.

A well-designed network uses each medium where it belongs. We install both, terminate both, and certify both — so every link performs to standard.

01 Copper · Cat6 / Cat6A

The horizontal runs that reach every desk

Cat6 carries 1 Gbps; Cat6A carries 10 Gbps to 100 meters with better shielding against interference. It is the workhorse from the closet to the wall plate — every desk, camera, and access point. We install it to TIA-568 standards with clean terminations and pathways built for the next upgrade.

The backbone that carries light, not limits

Copper hits distance and bandwidth ceilings that make it unsuitable for backbone, campus, and data-center links. Fiber carries signal as light — far, fast, and immune to electrical noise. We install and terminate single-mode and multimode fiber, then test every strand with OLTS and OTDR equipment.

Advanced Capabilities

Physical infrastructure failures are the hardest to diagnose remotely. We build it right the first time.

iConvergence designs and installs structured cabling systems engineered for performance, capacity, and long-term reliability. Every project is tested, certified, and documented so future growth, troubleshooting, and upgrades are faster and less expensive.

Data Cabling (Cat6 / Cat6A)

Underperforming cabling is invisible until it causes problems. Intermittent drops, slow speeds, and devices that work "sometimes" trace back to cable quality, improper terminations, or runs that exceed distance limits. By the time you are troubleshooting, the disruption is already expensive.

iConvergence installs Cat6 and Cat6A horizontal cabling to TIA-568 standards with every port tested, certified, and documented. We use proper cable management and pathways that support future upgrades without a full rip-and-replace.

Fiber Optic Cabling

Copper cabling has distance and bandwidth limitations that make it unsuitable for backbone connections, campus environments, or high-demand data center applications. Organizations that rely on copper for these runs hit performance ceilings they cannot work around.

iConvergence installs and terminates single-mode and multimode fiber optic cabling for backbone connections, campus links, and data center interconnects. We test every run with OLTS and OTDR equipment and provide complete certification documentation.

Data Center and Server Room

A disorganized data center wastes space, traps heat, creates security risks, and makes troubleshooting a manual search through unlabeled cables. The physical environment directly affects system reliability and uptime, and the cost of fixing it after the fact is always higher than building it right.

iConvergence designs and builds organized data center and server room environments with structured rack layouts, cable management, proper airflow, labeling systems, and power distribution. We produce as-built documentation so every connection is traceable.

Project Management and Documentation

Cabling projects fail when scope is unclear, schedules slip, and there is no record of what was installed. Future troubleshooting becomes guesswork without documentation, and every subsequent contractor starts from zero.

iConvergence manages structured cabling projects with defined scope, schedule, and deliverables. Every project concludes with complete as-built documentation including floor plans, port labels, testing reports, and warranty records. We work around your operating hours to minimize disruption.

Cat6 supports 1 Gbps to 55 meters. Cat6A supports 10 Gbps to 100 meters and is better shielded against interference. For most new installations we recommend Cat6A as it future-proofs the infrastructure for higher-speed networking without a re-run.
A typical single-floor office takes 2 to 5 days. Multi-floor or campus projects are phased to minimize disruption. We provide a detailed scope and schedule before any work begins.
Yes. We routinely schedule cabling work during evenings, weekends, and planned shutdown periods to avoid disrupting operations.
Yes. Every data run is tested with a certified cable tester and every fiber run is tested with OLTS and OTDR equipment. You receive a complete test report with every port documented.
We assess existing infrastructure, test and certify any runs that meet current standards, and replace or re-run anything that does not. We document what exists and what was changed so you have an accurate record going forward.
Yes. iConvergence provides a workmanship warranty on all installations. Hardware manufacturer warranties apply to cable and components.
